What's included in the package?
• (12) 60 minute Parenthood sessions
• 3 days a week for 4 weeks or 2 days a week for 6 weeks
• Your therapist will have all linen, emollient, music and tools provided
• A table is available to keep at your home during your care package to help eliminate making extra noise of bringing the table in and out of the home/rooms.

Can I share my sessions?
This package is to provide active and consistent care to the birthing parent. If you wish to share your sessions, the birthing parent must receive 2 of the 3 sessions in the week. That means a support person is eligible to receive 1 massage a week if the birth parent would like to gift it.

How soon am I able to receive postpartum massage?
• Postpartum care can begin 1-2 weeks post recovery for vaginal deliveries, provided no other major medical issues occurred during delivery. This time frame is to allow you and your family an opportunity to settle in at home and begin a bonding routine. This will also help your therapist to gain a better understanding on how to best help your body once you are aware of how you are using your body to care for baby.

For cesarean deliveries, due to this being a major abdominal surgery, we will need to wait to begin care once your primary provider has signed you off and cleared you for massage. Some surgical sites clear up with no additional issues, others can have some complications. We want to ensure that you receive a massage that is safe and effective in your recovery process. Some post-operative care includes medications to control bleeding and reduce clotting, when that happens, massage is contraindicated. Please be sure to have that conversation with your physician as to when it is safe to begin massage care. To receive scar tissue work directly related to your cesarean scar, tissue work cannot begin until 8 weeks postpartum per the McLoughin Scar Tissue Release method.

For adoptive parents, this package is for you too! Once you have settled into life with a little one, you will notice that your body is adapting to the demands of caring for a newborn/infant/toddler. Adoptive parents are eligible for this package up to 6 months post welcoming your child into your home.

Will insurance cover my sessions?
• Nurtured Spirit Massage is not contracted with any insurance companies. You will need to contact your insurance provider if they are able to reimburse you for your sessions. You will need to have a prescription for your sessions- that prescription/referral needs to include diagnosis codes, and frequency of treatment recommendation.
• Your therapist will provide you with a superbill after 4, 6, or 12 sessions. This superbill will be used as the itemized receipt to request reimbursement. It will include the CPT code (97124 or 97140), billing units (4 units) and your therapists NPI and EIN #'s.
• Redeeming Touch Massage is a healthcare provider. If you wish to use your HSA/FSA card to pay for your sessions, you are able to do so!
• If you plan to submit a Superbill, you must have a prescription for massage prior to the start of your sessions. Any prescription for massage provided after the start of care will automatically not qualify for Superbill reimbursements. This is the sole responsibility of the client.

How much is the Postpartum Care Package?
• The postpartum care package is $1560. This is a $240 savings over the course of 12 sessions! (That is equal to receiving 2 sessions for free!)
• The standard rate of massage is $150 per 60 minutes session. For parents in postpartum (or initial parenting phase), I offer a postpartum discount rate of $15 to each standard session rate. After 6 months postpartum, your session rate returns to the standard $150.
• This package reduces your fees to $130/session (a $20 discount from the standard rate). This package is strictly for 12 sessions, broken up into either 3 sessions a week for 4 weeks, or 2 sessions a week for 6 weeks. Of course, things come up and some sessions might need to move around. The goal is to ensure consistency of care so the package is typically completed within 4-6 weeks.
• A deposit of $100 is due at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance of $1460 is due 2 weeks prior to the first session start date. An invoice will be emailed to you once dates and times are confirmed via email.
• Split payments are allowed! If needed, half of the package remaining balance ($730) can be paid 2 weeks prior to start date, and the second half of the remaining balance ($730) can be paid 2 weeks prior to end date.
